Mexico Tipped To Be One Of The World’s Top 5 Economies

The Embassy of Mexico in the UK, ProMexico and The Mexican Chamber of Commerce (MexCC) have teamed up for Mexico Day which will take place on Friday 30th September. The grand scale business seminar will celebrate the already existing bilateral relations between the two countries, the potential business and investment opportunities for both Mexican and British nationals as well as a networking platform with established professionals already forging the gap.

The seminar will address the key investment risks and opportunities for British nationals investing in Mexico, but also promote the country as an attractive business partner for future economic growth.

A Mexican Wave Of Food Entrepreneurs

By the end of 2015, the number of Mexican restaurants in London had ridden by a whopping 71% in one year; evidence of the UK’s rapidly increasing hunger for burritos, enchiladas and tacos. The wave of popularity for Mexican cuisine does not appear to be slowing any time soon, resulting in a greater demand for authentic Mexican produce.

Those riding the wave include: Katya Torres de la Rocha founder of Mexgrocer, Eduardo Gomez-Resendiz, Director of Tequila & Mezcal Fest and Francisco Young-Garcia, former CEO, EMEA of GRUMA in Europe. These big names have since formed the multi-million pound venture MexImport Group which aims to meet the Mexican gastronomic demands in the UK.
