Introducing Top Italian Gothic Edge Design

The following names should ring a bell: Gucci, Versace, Valentino, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Cavalli, Ferré. These are just a handful of the most valuable, recognised and glamorous Italian designers to have graced the fashion industry. However, they aren’t the only ones. This year’s London Fashion Week opened the runway for young designer from Italy that proved that the path the likes of Gucci or Versace paved for them is being harnessed properly.

Manuel Facchini is a graduate of Central Saint Martins in London and only debuted for autumn and winter last year. However, he quickly became a household name for gothic rock themes. His ready-to-wear garments are what Italian fashion brand Byblos is selling today, which is why his newest collection was present at London Fashion Week this past September.

Facchini’s fellow countryman, Matteo Bianchi is also in the world of fashion, however, he is focused on interior design, mostly. The Italian-born, London-based designer owns a studio that aims to bring out the best of your brand or personality into stylish interiors. Matteo isn’t only an internationally recognised interior designer, he is also a professor at his alma mater, the University of the Arts London Chelsea. His roots are in Venice, from where he finds plenty of inspiration, and mixes it with his experience of London. His talent to pick apart the personality of his clients and turn it into the most fashionable interiors imaginable have put Bianchi’s name up high in the London fashion scene.
