Israeli Designers: A New Era Of Bridal Couture
Far from the white puffball dresses of days gone by, the era of bridal couture has taken the world by storm. Plunging, figure hugging and achingly sexy, Israeli designers have burst onto the scene and have quickly become the international designers of choice.
Inbal Dror, Galia Lahav, Julie Vino and Zahavit Tshuba are among some of the most well known names in the field; Beyoncé famously wore an Inbral Dror design at the Grammy’s this year. Many of these business women came from a family of dressmakers and have since embarked on a career often with their daughters as their right-hand women. Blending intricate embellishments of traditional Israeli design with modern shapes is the hallmark of Israeli bridal couture.
Riki Dalal, London Showcase At The Grosvenor Hotel
Riki Dalal, a shy and retiring Israeli designer from Ashdod, a port city in Southern Israel has captured the world’s attention with her unique designs. Dalal set up her small business while raising her three children, but soon she was forced to relocate to a larger space due to the high demand for her designs.
Now, with 30 years of experience under her belt, Dalal decided to put on her first overseas fashion show. She chose London to host this prestigious event due to her large UK audience. Far from following a trend, Dalal’s designs are forging the path for this season’s bridal trends.
London Jumping On The Trend Bandwagon
Although it is fairly difficult to get your hands on these stunning Israeli designs, fortunately London is beginning to stock these beauties in various boutiques and wedding specialist shops which seek out international designers.
Dress Dreams features Riki Dalal collections and other international names. Located 30 minutes outside of London.
Morgan Davies Bridal offers fresh and on-trend collections from international designers around the world.
